About Me

I am a Senior at Carlinville High School where I am involved in various activities such as track and field, National Honor Society, stage crew, and yearbook.  In addition to this, I have also received my gold award for creating a science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics lab for Girl Scouts.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my little sister, volunteering at SIU School of Medicine, and running.  I plan to continue my academic and athletic career at Illinois State University where I will be majoring in physiology, neuroscience, and behavior and receiving a minor in sociology with plans to continue on to medical school.

I am honored to be apart of the 2019 CEO class.  I hope to improve upon my communication and soft skills that will be essential as I pursue a professional career.  CEO has offered me the opportunity to experience what it is like to go above and beyond the high school classroom.

About My Business

Meraki Art is a business that brokers artwork and furniture made by individuals who are homeless and or mentally ill from the Springfield area. Meraki means to do something with soul, love and passion. Meraki tries to embody this meaning by finding artists who take joy and pride in their work. 55% of the profit from each individual piece of art will go back to artists.
