Lynde Gibbs gave CEO a tour of Sips Coffee in her Virden location. Her story was one closely related to our aspiring business owners!

“I went to Carlinville High School, then Blackburn, and I worked a couple years at a local coffee shop, so after college I looked into opening one of my own [coffee shops].” Lynde shared her love of customer engagement and barista experience and how she turned it into a multi-location business (Virden and Carlinville).

Her best lesson? “Learn as you go.” From startup capital to supply orders and inventory to hiring staff; Lynde was honest about the struggles and the success they came with trial and error. In the end, it’s worked out and we can’t thank Lynde enough for her insight and the great coffee!
