Jason Leefers with Shoreline Aquatics spoke with Macoupin CEO on how to start a business. He explained how he started out by calling his competition as a customer to guage prices, and sending direct mailers to potentials customers to get his foot in the door. At first, he undervalued his prices to get a few first customers and soon his business took off!

But not without making a few mistakes along the way. Jason shared a few of those setbacks while he explained the importance of being an honest broker in business. His journey from Carlinville High School to his work with Shoreline Aquatics inspired our young professionals to make the most of their opportunities, like CEO, so that a future side hustle may be helpful income, or it may turn into a full-time business, or a future career opportunity.
